SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 29, 2027—Santa Clara University has been named a top 20 private school for career placement and a “Best Value College” by Princeton Review.

These annual rankings evaluate universities across many metrics, including return on investment, graduation rates, and career outcomes. The Best Value list comprises the top 209 of all 650 schools reviewed.

Career Excellence

Santa Clara’s showing on the Top 20 Best Career Placement (Private Schools) list is a testament to the University’s immersion in Silicon Valley; emphasis on experiential learning and internships; faculty mentorship; as well as its focus on critical thinking and team-based learning, said Dylan Houle, executive director of Santa Clara University’s Career Center.

Santa Clara was the top Jesuit or Catholic institution on the list.

“Santa Clara is delivering on the promise of higher education for our students and for the needs of a rapidly evolving economy. After graduating, students launch their careers in a wide array of industries and thrive,” said Houle. “Three in four students participate in an internship as an undergraduate, which is one of the strongest predictors of career success, and they bring their Jesuit education into the workforce—helping to influence the decision-making at companies that affect the lives of millions of people around the world.”

The Princeton Review’s career rankings are based on student ratings of career services at their school, as well as on PayScale.com’s salary information for alumni. The median earnings of Santa Clara students six years after entering the workforce is $91,198.
